Baysox Beat Rangers For 3-1 Series Lead

The Bowie Baysox defeated the Down East Wood Ducks 3-1 on Monday night at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie, Md. to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-five South Atlantic League Divisional Series.
The Baysox scored two runs in the first inning on an RBI single by Gunnar Henderson and a sacrifice fly by Connor Norby. They added another run in the third inning on a solo home run by Colby Bortles.
Meanwhile, Baysox starter Drew Rom threw five shutout innings, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out five batters. Relief pitcher Noah Denoyer pitched the final four innings, allowing one run on three hits and two walks.
The win gives the Baysox a 3-1 lead in the series. Game 4 will be played on Tuesday night at Prince George's Stadium. The Wood Ducks will need to win to force a decisive Game 5.
